Minister of Finance will present the draft budget to Parliamentary minority. Meeting with representatives of United National Movement is planned by the end of the day. Opposition says, that they will not support the document.
“It will make economic situation even worse. Instead of decreasing expenditure by 10%, they are decreasing them only by three. It will not have any impact. Minister of Finance presents next year’s budget MPs. Dimitri Qumsishvili is meeting representatives of Patriotic Alliance. The minister has already presented the draft budget and explained all changes that have been made.
Dimitri Qumsishvili said, that total volume of budget is 9 billion 121.2 million GEL. It includes 1.393.5 billion GEL for salaries. This is 49.85 million less compared to year 2016.

After another exchange depreciation there is instability on Georgia’s financial market. Official exchange rate of National Bank is approximately 2.62.
Representatives of authorities do not comment on the situation of national currency depreciation which continues for several weeks already.
Experts think that the situation is caused by the announcement of new economic plan of government.

Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission is not expecting raise in electricity tariff. Representatives of GNERC say, they received applications from energy companies demanding the raise.
“There is no trend of increase of tariffs. Generally exchange rates effect the prices but there are other factors too”, - said representative of GNERC Gocha Shonia.
The meeting of commission will be held on December 14.

The upcoming year`s budget will be the subject of discussion in the parliament today. The Finance Minister will hold meetings with factions. The first meeting is scheduled with the Alliance of Patriots , and later discussions will be held first with the minority and then with the majority .

Almost for 10 hours of electricity was not supplied to the old part of Tbilisi. Also, the street lights were turned off, including the central districts - Apkhazi Street and Freedom Square.

The national currency continues to devaluate - the price of dollar today is 2.62 GEL.
