Considerations in parliament - opposition will not support 2017 draft budget

The upcoming year`s budget will be the subject of discussion in the parliament today. The Finance Minister will hold meetings with factions. The first meeting is scheduled with the Alliance of Patriots , and later discussions will be held first with the minority and then with the majority .

"This budget is not focused on the social aspects, the poorest layers of the vulnerable families, but the budget tells us that 30 million will be allocated for funding tourism," - Inashvili said.

The opposition is preparing tough questions regarding the government`s economic plan and optimization of the state agencies. The adoption of the budget is planned, at tomorrow`s plenary session but it will not be supported by the opposition.

"How can this budget be supported, when we see that theGEL was brought to the brink of a record of impairment," - said the member of National Movement faction, Roman Gotsiridze.

The majority, however, argue that the budget has been amended with respect of the remarks expressed in the Parliament.

"The prime minister`s reform programs initiated serve only one purpose, and that is to facilitate over the next year, the country"s economic development and to facilitate as much as possible," - Tamar Chugoshvili said.
