Washington not involved in talks over Savchenko exchange - Under Secretary Shannon

MOSCOW - The United States is not playing an intermediary role between Russia and Ukraine over a possible exchange of Ukrainian pilot Nadia Savchenko, who was sentenced in Russia to 22 years of imprisonment, U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Thomas Shannon told the Ekho Moskvy radio, commenting on recently circulating reports of some secret talks being held, including with U.S. participation, over Savchenko's possible exchange.
