FTSE LIVE: Footsie higher as miners gain on dovish comment from Yellen

Approaching mid morning, the FTSE 100 index had added 85.0 points, or 1.4 per cent at 6,190.9, having closed 0.58 points lower yesterday on caution ahead of the Fed chair’s speech.
