Italian company to build Argavand-Shirak bypass road in Armenia
YEREVAN, March 24./ARKA/. Yerevan Municipality and Italy’s Serenissima Construzioni company have sealed a contract for building Argavand-Shirak road section as part of the project of construction of western Yerevan byway, the press office of the municipality reported on Thursday.
The contract was signed by Taron Margaryan, Yerevan mayor, and Alberto Brentegani, president of the company.
Stressing the importance of construction of the new road, Margaryan said that it will relieve traffic congestion in the central areas of Armenia's capital city.
Brentegani, on his side, said that this is the company's first project in Yerevan and expressed confidence that the construction will be carried out properly and in accordance with the schedule.
The contract implies construction of a new 257-meter iron bridge crossing Hrazdan River and a new 2.7-kilometer road with two-way traffic.
The contraction will last 24 months. The new road will be furnished with LED light bulbs in accordance with international standards. --0---
