Grozny Avia performs maiden flight to Armenia

YEREVAN, March 18. /ARKA/. Grozny Avia airline based in the Russian North Caucasus republic of Chechnya has launched direct flights to Armenia from the central Russian city of Voronezh, the official website of the Voronezh airport said.

The first flight to the capital of Armenia was made on March 17 at 11.00 am by the airline's plane, it said.
Before the beginning of the check-in, representatives of the local Armenian Diaspora and the Armenian Youth Union of Voronezh performed a concert for the passengers. 

The airline also conducted a quiz for the passengers and the main prize was a free ticket to Yerevan, which went to an Armenian citizen Susanna Ayvazyan, who was in Voronezh to visit relatives. She was happy to learn that she could fly now directly home. 

Grozny-Avia established in 2007, operates regular domestic and international flights as well as transportation of cargo and mail. Its main base airports are Vnukovo (Moscow) and Grozny in Chechnya.-0-
