FTSE CLOSE: Footsie buoyant as US stocks join in rally on further consideration of ECB easing, firm oil price

The FTSE 100 index at the close was up 103.09 at 6139.79. It was strong in late afternoon trade as US stocks joined in a rally by European markets today following big falls yesterday.
