Washington, the No. 8 seed started fast, fell behind by 12 in the second half, battled back to pull within two late but couldn’t get over the hump as Oregon made its free throws down the stretch, controlled the boards and came away with a hard-fought 83-77 win in front of a sellout crowd of 12,916.
