FTSE LIVE: Footsie falls back as miners see some profit taking after rally; nervous ahead of ECB, BoE policy meetings 

By mid morning, the FTSE 100 index was down 56.8 points, 0.9 per cent to 6,1427, having hit its highest level of the year last week as sentiment improved slightly after a turbulent start to the year.
