Reflexively repressive

Ukraine’s government further damaged its democratic credentials this week. Feeling the sting of criticism for the nation’s unpunished corruption and faltering reforms, the Cabinet of Ministers will now attempt to silence some of the messengers rather than to counter them with better arguments, performance and accountability.
