Fourth-ranked Avondale uses 23-2 run to beat Rochester Adams for regional championship

WATERFORD – The fourth-ranked Avondale Yellow Jackets captured a D1 regional championship with a 53-36 win over the Rochester Adams Highlanders Thursday evening. Adams took the early lead, 9-6, behind the play of junior Cannon Flynn, who was clutch from the charity stripe in Tuesday’s regional semifinal victory over Oxford.
