CVC Boys Wrestling Tournament: Hopewell Valley jumps out to lead with 11 in semifinals

Bidding for its 16th title in 18 years, the Hopewell Valley wrestling team moved out to a solid 30-point lead following the quarterfinal round of the Colonial Valley Conference Wrestling Championships Friday night. Hopewell Valley accumulated 163 points by advancing 11 wrestlers into the Saturday’s semifinals at Robbinsville High. The finals are scheduled for around 4 p.m,. Host Robbinsville was second after the quarters with 133 points. Steinert was next with 131.5 points. Both Steinert and Robbinsville each had eight quarterfinal winners.
