Ghana launches HPV Vaccine campaign to protect 2.4million girls from cervical cancer

Ghana has launched its first nationwide Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination campaign to protect millions of girls from cervical cancer. The campaign, which began on Tuesday, October 8, 2025, is being implemented by the Ghana Health Service in partnership with Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, the World Health Organization (WHO), and UNICEF.
