Even the Grammys poked fun at the Mavericks with a Luka Doncic trade joke
The 67th Grammy Awards did not pass up on an opportunity to make a joke at the expense of the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday night. Fans everywhere were stunned Saturday night into Sunday morning to find out that the Mavs traded Luka Doncic to the Lakers. The groundbreaking move was the talk of the sports world, and now it’s officially moved over to pop culture.
Returning from a commercial break, comedian Jim Gaffigan was hosting instead of Trevor Noah. “During the break, I don’t know how to say this,” Gaffigan said. “Trevor Noah was traded to the Dallas Mavericks.”
The joke got a lot of laughs, and Noah did end up returning to the stage thankfully!
