WBO orders Teofimo vs. Catterall-Barboza winner

The WBO Championship Committee has ruled that current WBO junior welterweight champion Teofimo Lopez must make his mandatory title defense against the winner of Catterall-Barboza within 180 days after their bout scheduled for Saturday, February 15 to terminate the interim champion status and ensure a single world champion. Failure to comply will result in triggering the Committee’s intervention for the enforcement of the WBO regulations of world championship contests.
