River Plate brings in facial recognition technology for Estadio Mâs Monumental entry
December 10 – Argentinian giants River Plate have announced the introduction of facial recognition technology at their iconic Estadio Mâs Monumental, enabling fans to ‘enjoy quick, secure, and ticketless access’.
The FaceID system, developed in partnership with biometric technology company Veridas, will feature 300 terminals installed across the stadium. Initial deployment begins this month, with full implementation scheduled for February 2025.
The new technology allows registered fans to enter the 84,567-capacity venue in under a second,
