Lawrence Okolie vs Hussein Muhamed: UK start time, live stream, TV channel, card as The Sauce moves up to heavyweight

0

LAWRENCE OKOLIE returns to the ring THIS WEEKEND against Hussein Muhamed – and the WBC bridgerweight champion will be making the step up to heavyweight!

‘The Sauce’ hasn’t been in action since an easy KO win against Lukasz Rozanski earlier this year.

Okolie won the WBC bridgerweight title that night but will now be looking to become a three weight world champion in his quest at heavyweight.

His first opponent is Hussein Muhamed, a German with a record of 18 wins and one defeat.

There’ll be sterner tests to come for Okolie, but getting an emphatic win here would put him in good stead.

The fight is part of a stacked card at Wembley which is being headlined by Brad Pauls’ British title clash against Denzel Bentley.

When is Okolie vs Muhamed?

  • Okolie’s clash with Muhamed will take place on Saturday, December 7.
  • The bout will be held at Wembley Arena in London.
  • Okolie’s fight isn’t the main event, and is expected to get going at round 8pm, midway through the card.

What channel is it on and can it be live streamed?

  • Okolie vs Muhamed will be shown live on TNT Sports 1 in the UK.
  • You can live stream all the action from the Discovery+ app, which is available for download onto your mobile or tablet device.

What has been said?

Lawrence Okolie has set his sights on becoming the world heavyweight champion in 2025.

Speaking to The Star, the British champ said: “I will be bringing big performances at heavyweight.

“In my early cruiserweight days before I was draining myself, I was putting on knockout performances nine times out of 10 but then it started to fade as we went on. From the spars I’ve had with heavyweights, I know I can do it.

“I want to show this explosive power. I think talking about it is one thing but it is about doing it. I’m not doing an identity change but my style has to change now being a heavyweight. I have to hit them hard and often to get their respect……I have to put it on these guys.

“My whole life has been about the next step. When I was working at McDonald’s it was about getting to the Olympics. Now my aim is to be world heavyweight champion. I want that next year.”

Okolie added “My Aim Is To Be World Heavyweight Champion Next Year”
