Dolphins waive veteran S Marcus Maye

The Miami Dolphins waived veteran Marcus Maye and activated fellow safety Patrick McMorris off injured reserve on Tuesday.

NFL Network reported the Dolphins hope to re-sign Maye, 31, to the practice squad. He has recorded 30 tackles in 11 games (three starts) this season, his first with Miami.

Maye has eight interceptions, 29 passes defensed, 4.5 sacks and 439 tackles in 88 games
