Report: Knicks to waive Landry Shamet after shoulder injury

The New York Knicks are set to waive sharp-shooter Landry Shamet in advance of the season opener Tuesday against the Boston Celtics as the guard deals with a dislocated shoulder, ESPN reported.

By waiving Shamet before the start of the season, the Knicks will only owe him $15,000 by the terms of his Exhibit 9 contract. The report indicates that the Knicks intend to re-sign Shamet o
