EPL managers praise Tuchel but question why English system hasn’t been trusted for top job
October 18 – Premier League managers were united in their praise for Thomas Tuchel after the German’s appointment as head coach of the England national team but stressed the need for elite-level opportunities for English coaches.
The former Chelsea and Bayern Munich boss is just the third foreigner to take charge of England after Sven-Goran Eriksson and Fabio Capello.
Newcastle United’s Eddie Howe and former Chelsea head coach Graham Potter were among those linked with the job which apparently involved interviews with 10 candidates.
