Fantasy football defense rankings, Week 6: From elite (Texans) to streamable (Falcons)
You’ve got your fantasy football lineup all but set for the week, with a few tweaks to be made here and there as Sunday’s slate of games is ready to kick off.
But you’re trying to optimize your lineup to make sure you get the most points. And that’s why you have to make sure your D/ST position has the best possible squad to win you the week.
That’s what these rankings will help with: A look at the elite, solid, and streamable options that could win you some virtual games in your league.
Let’s break down the Week 6 D/ST tiers:
Elite
1. Houston Texans (at Patriots)
2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (at Saints)
3. Tennessee Titans (vs. Colts)
4. Denver Broncos (vs. Chargers)
5. Philadelphia Eagles (vs. Browns)
The Texans might snap Patriots rookie Drake Maye in half during his debut, but it’s still less terrifying than the prospect of the Colts likely facing a stout Titans defense without their top quarterback, running back and wideout.
Solid
6. Indianapolis Colts (at Titans)
7. Pittsburgh Steelers (at Raiders)
8. Detroit Lions (vs. Cowboys)
9. Cleveland Browns (at Eagles)
10. Chicago Bears (vs. Jaguars)
The Bears defense has been nothing short of satisfactory this season, but you just never know what’s going to happen when a team has to travel to London. The Steelers, meanwhile, know exactly what kind of broken offense awaits them in Las Vegas.
Streaming Options
11. Buffalo Bills (at Jets)
12. Green Bay Packers (vs. Cardinals)
13. Atlanta Falcons (at Panthers)
14. Los Angeles Chargers (at Broncos)
15. Cincinnati Bengals (at Giants)
Just because the Jets fired their head coach doesn’t mean the offense is going to get any better. They still have a banged-up 40-year-old Aaron Rodgers under center.
