West Virginia moved the ball again on their second possession.

Jaheim White gained 22 yards on a run, then finished the drive with a 10-yard touchdown run to make it 17-0 Mountaineers with 11:16 left in the second quarter.

On the ensuing kickoff, Cale Cabbiness returned it 51 yards to the WVU 39.

The drive ended in a turnover, however, as Alan Bowman was picked off over the middle by Jaheem Joseph, who returned it six yards to the WVU 13-yard line.

Greene returned at quarterback and the Mountaineers went 87 yards in eight plays to extend their lead.

C.J. Donaldson had a run for 20 yards, and White one for 26, then Greene finished the drive by scrambling for a 16-yard touchdown to make it 24-0 WVU with 5:55 to play in the first half.

OSU finally put together a productive drive, going 75 yards in 11 plays.

Bowman found Brennan Presley for a gain of 25 yards on 4th and 7, then Bowman passed over the middle to Rashod Owens for an 8-yard touchdown, cutting the West Virginia lead to 24-7 with 1:54 left in the second quarter.

The Mountaineers responded by going 75 yards in nine plays, with Donaldson scoring on a 15-yard touchdown run to make it 31-7 WVU with 28 seconds left in the second quarter.

OSU got the ball to start the third quarter and had to punt after three downs.

On the third down play, Gordon was slow to get up but did leave the field under his own power.

OSU's defense got its first stop on the next possession, as they stopped WVU on a 4th and 2 from the OSU 28-yard line and took over on downs.

The Cowboys got a 41-yard pass from Bowman to Da'Wain Lofton, but on 4th and 17, Bowman was intercepted by Josiah Trotter at the Mountaineers' 41-yard line.

West Virginia ate up clock time and moved the ball into OSU territory, but turned the ball over on downs at the Cowboy 28-yard line when it was ruled Greene started his slide before the first down marker.

OSU has won eight of the last nine meetings between the two teams.
