Sean O’Malley would love for Dana White to get into boxing.

For years, White has alternated between saying he’s poised to enter boxing, and boxing is too broken to be fixed. Recently though, White expressed renewed interest about entering the space, which received support from some boxing luminaries, and now also has the backing of a former UFC champion.

On the most recent edition of his podcast, The Timbo Sugar Show, former bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley gave White’s proposed foray into boxing his seal of approval.

“That’s exciting,” O’Malley said. “Me vs. Merab [Dvalishvili] in boxing? [Laughs] Jokes. But that’s f*cking exciting. I feel like I have five, six more good years in me. If the UFC is going to do something with boxing, I would love to f*cking [do it]. That would be so fun.

“I love MMA though. It sounds stupid but love the wrestling aspect of MMA, I really do. I think it makes fighting so much sweeter. Boxers are f*cking p*ssies, dude.”

O’Malley recently lost the bantamweight title to Dvalishvili in the main event of UFC 306, though he has since disputed the decision.

O’Malley also frequently expresses an interest in boxing, having previously proposed bouts with Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia. In fact, after his defeat at UFC 306, Haney trashed O’Malley, causing “Suga” to respond in kind. And with the possible advent of Dana White in boxing, O’Malley also took this as an opportunity to take another dig at Haney, offering to put up $1 million of his own money to fight.

“Devin Haney’s a b*tch. He’s such a b*tch,” O’Malley said. “If Devin Haney wants to talk shit, if he really wants to fight, I’ll put a million dollars on me vs. him, no time limit, and we can fight. MMA rules, just a fight. Or we can do no rules, if you wanna f*cking eye poke me you can. Do a real f*cking fight. If you want to talk shit on Twitter, we can really, actually fight.

“Or just don’t talk shit. One of the two.”

O’Malley even went a step further, once again restating his interest in boxing, though with the caveat that he would not put up his own money for that.

“I would even box,” O’Malley said. “I wouldn’t put $1 million of my money, but I would box Devin Haney. Just boxing rules, just to protect him. But he wouldn’t simply just fight me. So don’t talk shit.”

Haney responded to the offer on X.

O’Malley is scheduled to have surgery in October to repair a torn labrum in his hip. He’s expected to be out of action until at least next summer.
