Ex-Brazil boss Diniz takes charge of Cruzeiro

RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- Cruzeiro have appointed former Brazil national team boss Fernando Diniz as their new manager, the Belo Horizonte club said on Monday.

In a brief statement, Cruzeiro said Diniz agreed to a deal that runs until the end of 2025.

The 50-year-old replaces Fernando Seabra, who was sacked after a goalless draw at Cuiaba in Brazil's Serie A championship on Sunday.
