Astros place OF Chas McCormick (hand) on 10-day IL

The Houston Astros placed outfielder Chas McCormick on the 10-day injured list Thursday due to a small fracture on his right hand.

The move is retroactive to Wednesday, one day after McCormick sustained the injury after running into the right-field wall while chasing down a foul ball in Houston's 4-3 loss in 12 innings to the Oakland Athletics.
