Charlotte FC captain Ashley Westwood signs new contract

Charlotte FC signed captain Ashley Westwood to a new contract through 2026 with an option for 2027, the MLS club announced Tuesday.

The 34-year-old midfielder has five goals and nine assists in 55 regular season matches since joining Charlotte in January 2023.
