Report: Giants adding FB Jakob Johnson

The New York Giants are signing fullback Jakob Johnson to a contract, ESPN reported on Tuesday.

The Giants released the versatile veteran during roster cuts on Aug. 27. He was then signed to -- and subsequently released from -- the practice squad.

Johnson, who plays both tight end and fullback, appeared in 13 games (five starts) last season with the Las Vegas Raiders.
