UEFA fines Roma €2m for salary cap breach; PSG, Inter and AC Milan all clear
September 9 – Uefa have Roma €2 million and threatened Istanbul Basaksehir with a one-year ban from European competition in the latest rulings by UEFA’s Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) First Chamber.
Basaksehir were also fined €100,000 while Aston Villa were hit with a €60,000 fine and Marseille €20,000 for late delivery of accounts for the monitoring system once known as financial fair play.
Villa are playing in the Champions League this season so their fine will be dwarfed by the €40 million they are likely to earn in prize money.
