Fans think the Eagles' tush push is dead after it failed in the first attempt without Jason Kelce
It was a rough start offensively for the Philadelphia Eagles in their season opener in Brazil against the Green Bay Packers.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts turned the ball over on each of the first two drives, first on an interception and second on a fumble resulting from a snap that he wasn’t ready for.
Perhaps the most concerning moment for the Eagles, however, came when they tried to turn to ol’ reliable: the tush push. In the first attempt without longtime star center Jason Kelce, Hurts came up short of the first down.
The play resulted in 11 rushing touchdowns for Hurts last season, but after just one failed attempt, NFL fans were convinced that the tush push is dead without Kelce at center.

Philadelphia was successful in its second attempt at the tush push, but despite that, there were quite a few jokes at the Eagles’ (and Hurts’) expense after the play frustrated so many opposing fanbases in 2023.
