Tokyo stocks end higher after BOJ chief remarks
TOKYO, Aug. 23 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks rose slightly on Friday as concerns about the yen's appreciation eased after the Bank of Japan (BOJ) chief indicated the central bank would continue normalizing monetary policy.
Japan's benchmark Nikkei stock index, the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average, ended up 153.26 points, or 0.40 percent, from Thursday at 38,364.27.
