Mahesh Pandey, a noted scriptwriter and producer known for his work on Kasautii Zindagii Kay, was arrested by Mumbai police for defrauding film producer Jatin Sethi of Rs 2.65 crore. He had promised to repay Sethi but failed to do so, leading to his detention and subsequent judicial custody.
