Alejandro Davidovich Fokina upsets Daniil Medvedev in Montreal

Alejandro Davidovich Fokina hit 24 winners and recorded a huge upset when he took down third-seeded Daniil Medvedev 6-4, 1-6, 6-2 on Thursday in the second round of the National Bank Open at Montreal.

It marks the first time Davidovich Fokina has defeated Medvedev in five meetings. It also is histhird career win over a Top 5 player.

Two other Top 10 seeds lost in Thursday's
