China slams Canadian warship's transit through Taiwan Straits

China has lodged solemn representations with Canada over the sailing of a Canadian warship in the Taiwan Straits through military and diplomatic channels, the Chinese Ministry of National Defense said on Friday.

Responding to a media query on the matter, Zhang Xiaogang, spokesperson for the ministry, said the action by the Canadian side has caused disturbance and stirred up trouble in the Taiwan Straits.
