Watch Kylian Mbappe speak Chinese in advert as fans claim he is morphing into Cristiano Ronaldo

KYLIAN MBAPPE has been told he is morphing into Cristiano Ronaldo after speaking Chinese in a new advert.

Just last month he left fans stunned when he delivered an interview in perfect English.

That was when the France forward, 25, spoke of his pride at leading his country to a tournament as captain for the first time ahead of Euro 2024.

Unfortunately for him, he suffered a broken nose in Germany before Les Bleus were beaten by Spain in the semi-finals. 

Mbappe soon got over that disappointment last week as he was unveiled as a Real Madrid player in front of 85,000 adoring fans.

He has penned a five-year contract with the Spanish giants after ending his stay at Paris Saint-Germain.

Even though he has technically taken a £51million pay cut in terms of wages, he has picked up an eye-watering £106.5m signing on bonus.

And he will still be pocketing a neat £12.8m-a-year.

Mbappe, like many of the planet’s top athletes, also earns a fortune through endorsements.

And one of those lucrative deals is for a social media app called Xiaohongshu – known by many as “Chinese Instagram”.

Footage of him starring in the ad has now been shared on X showing the attacker in front of the Eiffel Tower as well as in a gym.

However, it was the fact that Mbappe spoke perfect Chinese throughout it that blew the minds of fans the most.

And they were soon comparing him to Ronaldo, another mega star who has earned millions from endorsements across the globe.

But it was one particular advertising effort from 2019 for online shopping company Shopee that most jokingly compared Mbappe to.

Ronaldo is seen scoring a free kick inside a packed stadium before running off and pulling out his trademark ‘Siu’ celebration.

But everybody in the crowd suddenly turns orange as they make a purchase through the app, with Ronaldo then shown an orange card.

He too dons an orange top with Shopee branding as a cringeworthy tune starts playing.

But it gets even worse when CR7 starts dancing along to the music, waving his arms side to side.

Even though Mbappe’s antics were nowhere near as cringe, it still did not stop the comparisons.

One wrote: “Stans ronaldo so hard he copied his shopee ad.”

Another shared a gif of Ronaldo’s dance and commented: “He’s tryna be him.”

As a fellow fan commented: “Now bro is fully copying Ronaldo.”

However, others were just impressed that his language skills.

One said: “Wow… That’s incredible.”

As another said: “The money he got must’ve been crazy.”
