A lucky Diamondbacks fan caught the home run ball that won him $400 on a $50 bet.

Catching a Major League home run ball is lucky enough. How about snagging the exact moonshot that cashes your bet?

One fortunate Arizona Diamondbacks fan did just that on Thursday night after placing a $50 bet via Draft Kings that Eugenio Suarez would hit a home run in the game against the Atlanta Braves.

Suarez held up his end of the bargain in the fifth inning, sending one out of the park at Chase Field on a direct line toward the fan, who was able to catch it in what had to be one of the most improbable moments in gambling history.

As if the moment wasn’t cool enough, the $50 bet on the Suarez home run — which was just his ninth on the season — cashed for $400 with the odds set at +700. He also got to watch his team win the game as Suarez’s solo shot proved to be decisive as it was the only offense in a 1-0 Diamondbacks win.

While that lucky fan may win some bigger payouts in the future, it’s hard to imagine any cashout will be as special as this one was.
