Kyle Filipowski gets comforted by his fiancée after not being drafted in NBA Draft Round 1
A rough night for the Duke forward.
By all accounts and mock drafts, Duke’s Kyle Filipowski was projected to be a first-rounder, which is probably why he was invited to the 2024 NBA Draft green room.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t picked and was one of two players left in the green room by the end of Wednesday night. We wonder if he’ll be back to hear his name called on Thursday, when the draft moves to ESPN’s Seaport District Studios.
A reporter caught a shot of him and his fiancée, Caitlin Hutchison, as she comforted him after a disappointing night. Hopefully, the two of them can celebrate as they did with their engagement earlier this year (see below):
