Yankees acquire INF J.D. Davis from Athletics

The New York Yankees acquired infielder J.D. Davis and cash considerations from the Oakland Athletics on Sunday in exchange for infielder Jordan Groshans.

The Yankees transferred right-hander Nick Burdi to the 60-day injured list to open a spot for Davis on the 40-man roster.
