What odds are England to win Euro 2024?

EURO 2024 is well underway with England looking to clinch their first major men’s trophy since 1966.

The Three Lions kick-started their campaign against Serbia with a victory, but what chances are the bookies giving Gareth Southgate’s side after a fairly underwhelming opener?

England arrived in Germany as the tournament favourites.

The Three Lions were available at 9/2 with William Hill to be crowned champions and clinch their first major trophy since 1966.

But they’ve since shortened to 4/1 having notched up three points against Serbia in their Group C opener last week.

England were far from their brilliant best in Gelsenkirchen, but did show glimpses of why they should be feared inside the opening 25 minutes.

Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice were outstanding, while Marc Guehi eased worries about England’s defensive problems with an accomplished display alongside John Stones.

Gareth Southgate’s side are brimming with attacking talent and possess some of the most effective attacking superstars in world football.

And it would perhaps only require an impressive performance against either Denmark in Frankfurt on Thursday, or Slovenia the following week for their odds to shorten dramatically.
