Sounders group completes purchase of Reign for $58M

The Seattle Sounders and their investment partner completed their purchase of the Seattle Reign for $58 million, it was announced Monday.

Sounders majority owner Adrian Hanauer will serve as governor of the NWSL's Reign. Investment group Carlyle becomes a majority partner.

"Today is a milestone day for soccer in our city and I am humbled to be a part of it," Hanauer said
