Royals star C Salvador Perez (knee) undergoes MRI

Kansas City Royals star catcher Salvador Perez was not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the host Los Angeles Dodgers due to a right knee injury.

Perez, 34, underwent an MRI exam Saturday and no structural damage was detected.
