The Mets haven't lost a game since McDonald's Grimace threw out a first pitch at Citi Field

They call it The Grimace Effect.

The New York Mets have been an entirely different team since McDonald’s Grimace threw out the first pitch for this past Wednesday.

Indeed, that big, purple blob has been a lifesaver for the Mets, as the team has won four-straight games since the fast-food mascot graced Citi Field with his presence.

Now, the Mets are one of the hotter teams in baseball and could keep their win streak going on Sunday with a series sweep of the San Diego Padres.

While we’re not sure how much of this is related to Grimace wearing a Mets hat and just a bounce of good luck New York’s way, we’re going to keep thinking that the Grimace is worth betting on the Mets for the next few games.
