Nats place 1B Joey Gallo (hamstring) on injured list

The Washington Nationals placed first baseman Joey Gallo on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a strained left hamstring.

The team recalled infielder Trey Lipscomb from Triple-A Rochester to replace the two-time All-Star on the 26-man roster.

Gallo, 30, is batting just .164 with five homers and 11 RBIs in 46 games in his first season with Washington. He is a career .195 h
