LOI: Shelbourne remain top after win over Dundalk
Shelbourne remain top of the League of Ireland after a 1-0 win at home to Dundalk.
A goal in the 71st minute from John Martin gave Damien Duff’s victory, and they remain three points clear at the top.
Behind them is Derry City, who defeated Galway United 2-0. William Patching and Patrick Hoban scored the second half goals to keep the pressure on Shelbourne.
Waterford’s good form continued as they were 4-1 winners over Sligo Rovers.
Two goals from Padriag Arnold, and goals from Connor Parsons and Ben McCormack move them into fourth.
In the night’s other game, it finished 0-0 between Drogheda United and St Patrick’s Athletic.
