Padres' Xander Bogaerts to IL with fractured shoulder

The San Diego Padres placed second baseman Xander Bogaerts on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a fractured left shoulder.

The four-time All-Star sustained the injury when he dove to reach a ground ball in the third inning in the opening game of Monday's doubleheader against the Atlanta Braves.
