All-Big 12 Baseball Awards Announced

Oklahoma's Skip Johnson was named the Big 12 Coach of the Year, and the state of Oklahoma's two teams were well represented on the All-Big 12 baseball teams released Monday by the league's coaches.

Johnson led the Sooners to their first and only Big 12 regular season championship this season and becomes the first OU coach to win Big 12 Coach of the Year honors.

Three of Johnson's players made first team All-Big 12: pitcher Braden David, infielder Michael Snyder and designated hitter Easton Carmichael.

Three Oklahoma State players made first team: pitcher Brian Holiday, and outfielders Carson Benge and Zach Ehrhard.

Four Cowboys made second team: pitchers Sam Garcia and Robert Cranz, infielder Colin Brueggemann and outfielder Nolan Schubart.

Two Sooners made second team: outfielder Bryce Madron and pitcher Kyson Witherspoon.

OU's Jaxon Willits made the Big 12 All-Freshmen Team.
