UFC Vegas 92 weigh-in results: Edson Barboza and Lerone Murphy hit mark for main event
Edson Barboza is back on the main event scene.
The longtime featherweight contender successfully made weight Friday morning ahead of UFC Vegas 92, which marks the Brazilian’s fourth time headlining for the promotion. Barboza tipped the scales at 145.5 pounds, while his opponent Lerone Murphy weighed in at 146 pounds to make their bout official.
Murphy competes in a UFC main event for the first time. The British standout was the first fighter to step to the scale Friday.
All 24 fighters competing Saturday successfully made weight, with the lone scare being Oumar Sy. The UFC newcomer weighed in at 207.5 pounds on his first attempt, 1.5 pounds over the light heavyweight limit for his fight with Tuco Tokkos (205.5). However, Sy was allowed a second attempt and later made 206 pounds after stripping down and weighing in behind a box cover.
