The top 9 candidates for the Hawks' No. 1 pick in the NBA draft
The Hawks have a lot of great options at #1 after winning the NBA Draft Lottery.
It’s not uncommon for the NBA draft cycle to begin without us knowing who the top pick will be.
Sometimes, there’s one elite talent at the top of the draft that might excite people, like last year with Victor Wembanyama. Other times, there are moments when there are two or three talented prospects being considered by the team with the top pick, like the Orlando Magic when they took Paolo Banchero in 2022.
That’s what makes the 2024 draft class such an outlier. Not only does this class not have a clear-cut No. 1 pick at the top of it, but there isn’t even a clear-cut handful of guys competing for it. While is one likely favorite, there are (at least) seven or eight players in this draft who could go No. 1 overall.
