The Ajit Agarkar-led selection committee picked Yashasvi Jaiswal over Gill for the T20 World Cup to partner with skipper Rohit Sharma at the top of the order. Although Gill missed out on a place in the 15-man squad, he will still be travelling with Team India -- as a reserve -- alongside Rinku Singh, Avesh Khan and Khaleel Ahmed.
