Brewers place OF Joey Wiemer (knee) on 10-day injured list

The Milwaukee Brewers placed outfielder Joey Wiemer on the 10-day injured list on Saturday because of left knee discomfort.

Wiemer slipped in left field during the eighth inning of the Brewers' 3-1 victory over the host Chicago Cubs on Friday. He told team trainers that he "heard a pop" in his left knee, manager Pat Murphy said, and the knee felt worse on Saturday.
