NBA fans had so many jokes about LaMelo Ball's absolutely enormous back tattoo

LaMelo Ball’s entire career arc has been perplexing, really. He went from a viral high school sensation to playing in Lithuania, a fake Big Baller Brand-affiliated league and the NBL in Australia … to a top NBA pick with All-Star talent when healthy.

That’s the thing, though, LaMelo has almost never been healthy. And he now has more tattoos than games played this past season.

As the first round of the NBA playoffs is wrapping up, a photo hit social media showing the massive tattoo that LaMelo got covering his entire back. He also got sleeve tattoos on both arms, which appear to be mostly new. And let me tell ya, some choices were made with that entire piece.

Now, normally it wouldn’t be a huge deal for any athlete to get tattoos. But LaMelo’s father, LaVar, is famously against tattoos. He was furious several years ago when he saw that his middle son, LiAngelo, was heavily tatted. And now LaMelo is right there with him.

As far as the actual artwork with the tattoo — between the “RARE” initially reading like “DARE,” the off-center “ONE” and crooked “1 of 1” — some NBA fans are already putting it up there with the worst tattoos in the league.
